Some 20-30yrs ago mom had a dream that resulted in her painting this. She didn't like it and was a little creeped out by it (I don't remember dream details). I thought it was cool in a William Gibson dystopian future way and brought it home. I never framed it, hanging it above work bench in the garage, perhaps around time I made my EV?.

Early 1970s for #ThrowBackThursday and this was the wedding of my mum's cousin Maureen to Simon. The marriage didn't last much into the 80s and she married again but I always still referred to her and her other half as "Maureen and Simon". My mum is second from the right, carrying me. On the far left is Maureen's brother who would later own, breed, and race huskies with some being used in the 2001Tomb Raider movie.

#ThrowbackThursday #TBT Woah, for some reason, 26 March has always been a busy day. We've been to London (2024), Hamburg (2022), somewhere along the River Tarn in southern France (2018), and the Lake District (2017). 😵💫 Too many choices, and no single image screaming "post me!"
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe – #LakeDistrict it is, let's go! We spent an amazing long weekend here with friends back in 2017. I was seven months pregnant, and we spent our days cruising around in a little rental car, soaking up the landscapes, enjoying the spring air, popping into pubs, and lazing about. It was glorious. 😌

Honey Mushrooms (2023)
Maybe a slightly uncomfortable image, but I see these #Mushrooms everywhere in our local #Forests and so I really wanted to try capturing the way they stack in these closely packed bunches. Due to the recent rains this bunch didn't have the usual dirt and leaf debris leaving them relatively pristine. The added moisture from the recent rainfall also gave them a special moistness.
