Let's show a new collection of a film camera buy and test !

Photography is always a record of history, and sometimes a nice way to remember something. ( If, like me, you tend to think and remember in images.) So I remember a walk along the Scheldt #waterfront in #Antwerp . And as you can see from the comments, Flavie #dog was there too !

Years ago, I bought a Hi-Matic 7s.
Luckily for me, I was able to buy my collection of cameras before the analogue revival happened.
So I was able to buy loads of cameras for around 20 euros each .
It’s always nice to test something out with film ! I always had something to test with in my bag. You don’t actually need much to use a camera.
You’ve got your film, your subject, the aperture and your shutter speed.

Storm Brewing Over Dingle

Dingle Marina sat there looking calm and civilised. Boats were tucked
in, masts upright, everything in order while the sky overhead threatened rain and hid any chance of a sunset from my vantage point.

Luckily, it didn’t rain. The sky just got darker and darker as the sun slipped further around the Earth. The low cloud was not illuminated by the magnificent sun as it descended so I made do with what I had.

There’s a narrow window just after sunset when the sky goes absolutely wild, when the sun has dropped below the horizon but the light is still bouncing around in the atmosphere, and you get these incredible bands of colour stacking up from warm orange through pink into deep purple and navy.

The navigation beacon at the end of the pier in Ballycotton hadn’t come on yet so it provided a subject for a silhouette against this gorgeous sky on a lovely August evening last year.
