I joined the #GreenParty Regents Park canvassing team on Monday for #ZackPolanski campaign in #holbornandstpancras - great to meet so many committed young Greens! I wanted to go again today but sadly ill. Sending everyone out canvassing and leafletting these last few days all the very best.

And voters: go for Green! Everything nice about Burnham/Labour now comes from Green pressure. More pressure = better government.

A refreshing look at UK Higher Education from a Green Peer. More of the same won’t sustain the quality of our Universities and although I might quibble on the detail the shift in thinking here is welcome.

I was struck recently by the need for HE professional societies to plan for a potential collapse in institutional memberships (and more urgently the sudden redundancy of trustees/officers). It’s that bad.

I didn’t join the Green Party because of any hope they would present some solutions for my sector (there are more existential reasons), but this is good.

Paywall I’m afraid.

TL:DR comprehensive HE is a public good and should be funded as such out of taxation.

And yes, I do little things that bring joy. I spent Saturday afternoon doing crafts with my sister; such deep happiness from that (communal crafting- the best!).
