Yes! On Sunday, April 26, I will be exhibiting my photography during the Rondje Watertoren art route in Schimmert, the Netherlands.
In a church whose architectural style contains Neo-Romanesque and Gothic elements. Expressionist elements are also visible.
In the church, I am going to complement these styles with my impressionistic view of my world. Taking different perspectives. An ongoing challenge to keep my photography ‘alive‘.

“Objekte die mit ‘M’ beginnen” / Starting with “M”
M is for the Morgan Library in Manhattan, which my wife and I just visited for the first time in years. (@NYSloth also has a fantastic recent shot.)
M is also for mask: the second photo features a ceremonial mask of the Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw people of British Columbia, on display in the library’s exhibition on storytelling across cultures and eras.
We are staying with the Olympus Trip 35.
And have thoughts about exhibitions...
I always have doubts about how photography is displayed in frames on a wall, where your work, into which you have put so much time and love, is viewed distractedly and then forgotten. Guerrilla exhibitions seemed an interesting idea to me. The small photograph was displayed where it had been taken a few months earlier... The photograph within the photograph was taken with an Olympus Pen half-frame camera, and the photograph itself with an Olympus Trip 35.

"“#Eldercide: Older #Jews and the #Holocaust,” a new #exhibition at the #London #library, shines a spotlight on this oft-forgotten demographic. Co-curated by Schmidt and Stone, the show draws on photographs, documents, rare recordings and family heirlooms to illustrate the richness of its subjects’ lives, which started in the shadow of the #IndustrialRevolution and, for many, ended in #Nazi gas chambers. “Eldercide” also examines the unique predicaments that older Jews faced both during and after the war.
While today’s visitors to the library might associate the phrase “elderly Jews” with the roughly 220,800 Holocaust survivors still living in 2025, these individuals were relatively young during World War II."
