While the people of AI/LLM use case #3 likely LOVE that shit... they likely DON'T love the bills.
The bills are so fucking high and so unpredictable I'm hearing from many small business owner friends that yea... they can't ever see themselves reducing staff directly due to LLMs.
The cost model ONLY makes sense if they stop going up or if they can run locally.
THEN they NEED more staff+services to build and manage local AI.
It's a BIG open question how to control AI/LLM costs.
For #3 - paperwork processing... yea LLMs are basically like crack to people who say sentences like "Which Excel file on this SharePoint does the MSFT Access populate?"
Yea if you're swimming in half complete corporate forms that have some governmental requirement to be filled in or an over worked call center team who can't find the script (and I don't mean code) for the call their own... I bet my hat them ppl LOVE them some cloud AIs.

VCs and startup founders never know whats the real money maker they can get to quickly.It really seems the only thing the genAI is good for in general is:
1. Artistic assets(fraught with copyright issues)
2. General software development
3. Generic paperwork processing tasks
4. Wowwweee these AIs -can- hackNow... not all of these are easy to monetize as they have found out. I expect the bubble to pop BUT these are the things that will survive in AI longer term.

The importer could be customized for each platform, which could also help recommend what Fediverse platform a user might choose.
I'm not totally happy with this design, but this is the general idea. Service picks for the user, while allowing them to manually override it.
Yeah, that's...one way to use the Social Web, I guess.

This is so much better than what Mastodon used to provide for us. It used to just tell you to copy and paste text.
I'm visiting a friend's page on a different server. The page checks my home server from a cookie, signs me in from my remote credentials, and I can interact with the page as if we were on the same site.
A private mention in Akkoma, which works the exact same way that Mastodon does.
