Just had an account designed to boost toots into Threads.net boost one of my toots.
I have #nobridge in my profile; and was pretty sure my insance blocks #Threads. This is hostile no?
Edit:
Appears to be threadsrelay@sekretaerbaer.de
I reported it, but also tagging @mods
Appears to be a #Friendica instance.

Unbekannter Ursprungsbeitrag • • •@oldkid So it's been many years since ive tried Friendica, if this feature existed then, Ive lost memmory of it or never discovered it. This is the first time ive encountered this.
What's the use case? Does Friendica not support following hashtags ?

Unbekannter Ursprungsbeitrag • • •@oldkid What is this feature called?
Ill be honest, I kinda want to file a bug, that it doesn't obey #nobot or #nobridge profile conventions. Which in most corners of mastodon, is kind of considered propper etiquette.

True, yet in this case it could have created a direct conversation.
Our written communication out here, as well as the style of communication that evolved in the social web worries me. Way to often we overshot in supposing bad intent, while reading or writing, and things we could and should talk about directly first of all end up in denouncing or accusations instead of investigation and maybe even bug research. The fedi is a diverse place and we should do everything in our reach to create a good, respectful and friendly interaction in my opinion as this creates the ground we are building our relationships on.
.. just saying ..

I kind of concur with Hypolite, it wasn't obvious to me initially that the relay channel had a human pilot.
But It took me a while to frame my thinking that this was coming from another platform that had different modes of interfacing with the fediverse. That was a criticial error, and even after I had made that leap; it didn't occur to me to reach out to the account in question.
I had reached out to the instance mod, but it took a while for that conversation to get going.
I've tried to have some better faith communication about this on the friendica github on the issue tracker. Though honestly im not sure it amounting to much over there.
I fear this implementation of the relay channel, and the lack of agreed upon bot-opt-out in mastodon/activity-pub is simply going to continue create a lot of social friction.
