#substack, by first refusing to ban nazis under the guise of being a "free speech" platform, and then turning around and saying "actually we'll ban some of the nazis", has taken the route that will piss off the most people possible

good work, boys

What's unfortunate is they didn't realize soon enough that if you de-platform nazis then they don't have a lot of places where they can go complain about it. Meanwhile, if you keep them on the platform, everyone else complains about it. The latter being a much louder impact to their reputation.

I like to imagine the looks of surprise on their faces in the boardroom while they're saying "wow, people really don't like nazis, who knew?!"

I put my newsletter on substack October 19th, after years of avoidance, and deleted my account almost immediately. Back to my little janky tech stack that only sort of works but is defo antifacist.

they consider you as a tolerant and open person as long as you don't criticise them. Once you do criticise the "Good people" you are a Nazi to them. A full blooded, hardcore supernazi.
No matter how tolerant and how democratic they you are. Nazi!
