@ai6yr Another fallout and an uncovering of lack of business continuity planning - Ingles pharmacies have all their prescription processing systems in #asheville so NO ONE can fill a Rx with them right now. We missed one when checking before the storm.

Pharmacist said if something is important and you can’t get hold of the provider, to go to an urgent care place and get them to write a new Rx.

Other systems like Walgreen’s and CVS can’t help.

Even when you plan, things go awry.

Uh, wow. Is it wishful thinking on my part that this is why most businesses have a backup in a different region?

Wouldn't one think so? And as I step up onto (one of my) hobby horse(s), Publix is a grocery chain from Florida who really understands large weather events, and the importance of redundancies. However, Ingles has managed to maintain a stranglehold on this area, and crowd out almost any other big chain.

And here we are.

Funny... I disliked Publix when we lived in Florida, but now I'd give a lot for them to be closer.

Ah, spend only as much money as they have to while maximizing profits. Who cares about redundancies?
