Comrades, the #Guix Science channels have moved from GitHub to Codeberg 👇
codeberg.org/guix-science/

Migration was very easy and complete, with pull requests migrated without loss. We have yet to see how contributors can resume work on PRs opened pre-migration, but it looks great so far!

@boud @khleedril I think that we have clarified this for the most part. Is there anything you would concretely suggest? ~n

If CodeBerg doesn't offer a self-hosting option, is it really FOSS?

@Codeberg @boud It was more that I'm now of the opinion that the sfconservancy paper above ought to have included it in the listing of self-hosted alternatives to GitSnub.

@Codeberg

The description on the home page codeberg.org looks generally fine to me.

However, personally I would avoid the word "platform". My impression is that "platform" tends to mean that the organisation, servers and software are melded into one non-participatory, opaque black box, hiding the information on what it actually *is* beyond a god ("click and believe"). I would suggest replacing "platform" by "website", or maybe "platform and community"?
