Ein seltener Gast

Gerade hat „Meine Wissende Ehefrau“ ihn erwischt,
den Kernbeisser, der nur kommt, wenn’s eisig, frostig ist im Winter.
Derzeit kommt er oft. Mehrmals am Tag. Dann besetzt er stoisch die Futterschale und lässt keinen anderen Vogel ran. Nicht mal den Kleiber. Den forschen „Russen“, wie ich ihn nenne.

#Kriminalität - Illegale Abschüsse? Naturschützer fürchten um Bayerns #Wölfe - besonders alarmierend sei, dass einer der toten mutmaßlichen Wölfe im #LamerWinkel (Landkreis #Cham) gefunden wurde – einer Region, die bereits durch frühere Fälle von Naturschutzkriminalität aufgefallen sei. So seien dort im Jahr 2015 vier abgetrennte Luchsbeine gefunden worden.

Der Verband forderte von der Staatsregierung, den #Herdenschutz nun weiter zu fördern und den „Bayerischen Aktionsplan #Wolf“ konsequent umzusetzen, statt auf Abschüsse zu setzen.

From the time she leapt out of bed to when, at night, she flopped back in it, she was running, exploring, touching, poking, jumping, laughing, and asking endless questions.

Really shocked at the amount of fruit there is in the orchard already, so early in the 'autumn'.
All of the trees are absolutely loaded with apples, pears, plums, blackberries everywhere in the hedges too, they all think it's September or October and not summer.
All this with very little rain in recent months too, it's all a bit messed up

The old staithes at Peatdraught Bay, Edinburgh.
Sadly I can't find any history about the staithes nor the bays name origin though maybe the structure was built to load peat into ships for whoever had bought it 🤔
This could be misleading of course, perhaps it's a personal name of an old peasant that had a boat (hence the structure) and who also struggled to find fresh water😄
