On Saturday my #walktober stroll was with the @Metwalkers along the #EnglandCoastPath / further #Thames #estuary to #Whitstable and got me my first own view of the Maunsell #sea forts.

And a #seagull that looked like it was about to dive-bomb for abandoned oyster-bits.

At low tide the Thames drops several metres and leaves a wide strip of shingle below the Oxo Gallery on the South Bank, scattered with broken brick. I wondered about this framed pathway was going into the river. It’s only visible at low tide. It looks old. Was it a causeway for people to reach boats at low tide, perhaps? There is a “Barge House Street” nearby. Maybe this was a place for barges to dock and unload at low tide?

Ciao Mondo
Simpatico, vero?

On the boat back home from our holidays in Scotland we watched seagulls hunting for fish, for breed, for anything establishment and available. Shot some nice pictures there with my Nikon D7500.

I went through all my rejected shots to free some now so precious hard drive space, and some were actually salvageable! Like this one 😀

Menacing seagull in the late afternoon sun. Birds tend to look pretty silly facing forward, but not this one!

Sparrows, pigeons, and #seagulls are Slovenia's national #birds, I think 😁

For #Birbsday, here's a majestic #shithawk we spotted in Izola today, where we spent the last full day of our holiday. I panic-bought some overpriced olive oil as thank-you gifts for friends and neighbours while the other two went snorkelling. This #seagull and some of its thug friends stole a huge bag of crisps from an unattended bag while the bathers were in the water. The birbs fought all over the place for some crisps and made a huge scene. When they had emptied the bag and realized they couldn't eat the crisps depicted ON the bag, they screamed mournfully and strode around between blankets and towels in search of more. 😂
