For #SchiffSamstag here's Ambassador Ambience in Trondheim last year during our cruise into the Arctic Circle on a successful hunt for the Northern Lights.
Ambience was launched in 1991 and her distinctive shape comes from renowned Italian architect Renzo Piano, taking inspiration from bottlenose dolphins. An old ship with quirky elements, but utterly gorgeous lounges inside.

For #SchiffSamstag here's an Evergreen container ship being loaded after sunset in the port of Callao, Lima last month just as we were starting to head off on our cruise. Absolutely fascinating to see the cranes lifting, moving, lowering, and locking the containers into position.

For #SchiffSamstag here's the fishing vessel M. Ytterstad docked in Ålesund, Norway last year as seen from our balcony as we departed following a lovely day exploring the city. The impressive building in the distance beyond the church is a school. Ålesund is a great place to explore if you like architecture with most of it Jugendstil, a Germanic take on Art Nouveau.

Zum #Schiffssamstag ein Foto der alten Galeone "Vasa" (Wasa), die in einem eigenen Museum in Stockholm ausgestellt ist.
Das falsch konstruierte Schiff sank nach nur 20 Minuten Jungfernfahrt am 10. August 1628 in den Schären Stockholms.
1961 wurde die Vasa geborgen, restauriert und konserviert; seither befindet sie sich in ihrem Museum.

For #SchiffsSamstag here's HMS Prince of Wales, the fleet flagship of the Royal Navy, at her home port (and ours) of Portsmouth. This was taken as we cruised out aboard Scarlet Lady in 2021 and it was a great experience to see all the naval and historic vessels from this perspective.
