Nara Park is a large urban park that abuts a natural area next to the Todai-ji Temple. Over 1,000 semi-wild deer hang out in the park, interact with visitors, and mooch for food. Authorized vendors in the park sell special "deer crackers" so tourists can feed the animals. The deer are everywhere! Feeding the deer is generally considered a must-do activity when visiting Nara.

Wouldn't it be nice if the majority of streets in every city were like this. Human scale, green, people, bike, scooter, wheelchair friendly, slow and quiet. Cars are permitted but are not allowed to dominate the street. (Lambeth Oval Low Traffic Neighbourhood)
