Malariff Lighthouse in Iceland by Debra Martz
The lighthouse is located a short walk beyond the Snaefellsjokull National Park’s Visitor Center. The park is on the western side of Iceland on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The original lighthouse was built in 1917 and was replaced by this one, which was constructed in 1946 and stands 66 feet (20.2 meters) tall.

The lighthouse on the island just off the coast by Ballycotton is always a nice subject for a photo. The night we were there, we hoped to photograph the moon rising behind the lighthouse but a large bank of cloud covered the horizon.
