The Guardian has published a new map of the #Gaza yellow line. You can see that #Israel has now seized more than half of the entire strip. But this is also the very substantial majority of all Gaza's agricultural land.

This means that even if peace is restored, Gaza cannot feed itself unless Israel withdraws.

This is, in effect, a giant #ConcentrationCamp.

Today's protest for Palestine at Assen railway station. On the last Thursday of every month we go inside the railway station. Instead of pot banging, someone reads the names and ages of Palestinians murdered by the Israelis.

There are around 70000 confirmed deaths of people whose names are known. Their age at death varies from newborn all the way to centenarians.

Obviously we can only read a small fraction of the names in one hour.

Many people stop and listen for a while while they wait for their train.

Three years without electricity… can you imagine that?
Electricity used to be a basic part of our lives, but now we live completely without it. Even if we manage to buy food, it cannot survive the unbearable heat inside the tents for more than a single day before it spoils.
My children can no longer continue their education properly because studying has become completely electronic, and we have no power, no internet stability, and not even enough light at night.
When darkness falls, insects crawl over our bodies while we try to sleep. 😭

Two weeks have passed since I posted a photo of the weekly pot-banging demonstration, but that doesn't mean it wasn't happening. Last Thursday, and the Thursday before I was amongst those protesting against the continuing Israeli genocide of Palestinians at the station in Assen. The "ceasefire" hasn't stopped the killing. Hundreds of Palestinians continue to die at the hands of the Israeli army in Gaza and at the hands of the "settlers" in the West Bank.
This must stop.
There's not a lot of that people living in Western nations can do directly, but we can very easily commit to never buying Israeli goods and services, or those from companies linked to Israel, and by voting for politicians who will try to raise the subject internationally.

Weekly demonstration for Palestine by the station in Assen. Yesterday was UN World Children's Day so as well as making a noise we also had a reading of the names of children who have been murdered by Israel. Over the last two years, Israel has killed children in Gaza at an average rate of about one per hour. Over 20000 innocent lives cut short by the genocidal state of Israel. The horrors have not ended and nor have our protests.
From a personal point of view as a citizen of a country in Europe we have limited options, but we can all choose not to buy Israeli goods, not to support companies who trade with Israel and to vote for politicians who seek justice and who do not support Israel.

This is my little girl, her name is Kinda. She was living a beautiful life worthy of her childhood, but for more than two years she suffered pain, suffering, illness, displacement, and bombing. I will never forget, nor will I forgive, nor will I pardon how my little girl cried for months to get a biscuit or to eat a piece of meat. Our children suffered a lot.

Today my water ran out because my children refused to fill the water tank and carry it from a far place. Frankly, I can't force them to do that. If I had the money, I would have bought water from mobile water trucks. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any assistance. #gaza
