My own private Idaho.
There’s a secluded stretch of sandy beach along the Clearwater River (I’m not saying exactly where!) that my family returns to when we visit. If we time it right, we get to have it all to ourselves. I love coming back to this place, which always helps me find my center again.

Day 6 of my self-challenge to post a cat photo for every #FotoVorschlag theme this week — and today I am, alas, defeated. I have zero pictures of cats with waterfalls. The closest I can come is this photo of Max sitting in the bathtub, waiting for me to turn the water on. I have no idea why he constantly did this, since whenever I did turn it on he suddenly remembered that he hated being sprayed by water and ran away.
