The second half of June is absurdly hot, here in the Netherlands. Its average temperature of 23.3°C will beat the previous record by 3 degrees!

Climate change is loading the atmosphere with more moisture, fueling heavier downpours and more dangerous flash floods across the U.S.
Today, parts of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia are facing life-threatening flooding from the remnants of Tropical Storm Arthur, with some areas seeing 5-12 inches of rain.

DOG DAYS OF SPRING
The U.S. is heating up—and it’s not JUST the “politics.”
Cities across the East are seeing record-breaking April temps, with some hitting the 90s a month early.
This kind of heat is no longer rare—climate change is making these events far more likely and more intense.
Add in drought across much of the country and warming oceans, and experts warn this is just the beginning.
This isn’t a blip. It’s global warming.
🌍 The planet is heating up — fast.
From India, where cities are already topping 43–44°C (111F), to Australia bracing for near 50°C (122F), to early-season heat waves in the U.S. West, extreme heat is arriving earlier and hitting harder in 2026.
Even oceans are warming, fueling dangerous marine heatwaves and reshaping weather patterns.
This isn’t isolated — it’s global.

Cocoa beans quadrupled in price because a series of droughts and floods since 2020 destroyed the plants and made surviving trees vulnerable to pests " in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, which, combined, produce 70% of the world’s chocolate ".
By late 2025, the trees recovered and cocoa shortage now eases.
Prices might follow but not immediately because previous harvests were sold at higher prices.
