My nation's tendency to sacrifice our military service members in exchange for access to Middle East oil is a big reason why I started driving an electric vehicle 14 years ago and continue to do so today. In the US, only about 1% of our electricity is generated from oil. Every time someone buys an #EV, an OPEC cartel member loses some revenue, and our service members' lives become slightly more secure.

So, the price at the station down the hill from my house has been stagnant (and stubbornly well above #Trump's $2/gal) for a number of months, now. Last week, it went up twice: a couple cents/gal when US Navy ships started stacking up in the the Eastern Mediterranean and the Arabian Sea; a few further cents/cal when the first strikes became public. Haven't had cause to drive down the hill, yet, this week, but I imagine it's jumped again (and probably by more than the two previous blips combined).
Glad that, of our two cars, one is an #EV (and that local power comes from natural gas and solar).

TL;DR Most EV batteries will last longer than the cars they’re in. Battery degradation is at better (meaning: lower) rates than expected. Slow charging is better. Drive EV and don’t worry about your battery.
