A young common kestrel that apparently was either kicked out of its nest or fell down on accident. It didn't seem to get any attention from the parents over a long time. A few minutes after these photos it was picked up and brought to a professional, hopefully being cared for and thriving soon!

Spotted willow leaf beetle hatching.
There were hundreds of them simultaneously hatching, at first I thought they might be ladybugs, because I've never heard of them before.

What you can see here is a seed in the palm of a hand. The half-translucent worm crawling on it is the larva of a fungus gnat. The seed has been hollowed out by these little insects. That's catastrophic if you try to grow food and it gets eaten before it could even sprout.
