This one-pot microbial reaction allows for industrial hydrogenation to occur at near-room temperature without #fossilfuels. The method is #carbon-negative because it diverts #food waste from landfills while replacing traditional chemical processes.

Using the Enhanced Recovery Walkway between hospital wings (marked off to show you distances walked from nearby wards).

In the special lighthouses exhibition in the NMS, this 'curtain' of reflecting and refracting lenses was irresistible, had to sneak a shot, wasn't sure it would work in such low light, but passable if not too sharp.

Splurged on taxi, so much quicker than the bus takes to hospital, result: arrive half hour too early. And since on no food or fluids till after the op, couldn't even have a coffee (if cafe was open yet, which it isn't!). Oh well, better early than late.

Saw the old car showroom on Dundee Street, near the top end of Dalry Cemetery, has been reduced to rubble over the course of the last few days.

On heading out a little earlier, I saw a man being handcuffed by two police officers.

On the way back, now multiple police vehicles & officers around Gorgie Road & parts of the pavements taped off. No idea what happened yet.

I was just trying to go have a final, relaxing coffee & read in nearby wee café before tomorrow.
