Lago di Sorapis
One of the most stunning places I've been to in the Dolomites. Last year I was here on a warm summer day. Earlier this autumn, though, the lake looked radically different, being completely frozen over. Both times, I did the easy hike up (route 215), and the considerably harder hike down (route 216 & 213). The latter offers the most sensational views over the surrounding mountains and is very well worth the effort. You mustn't be afraid of heights, though.

This is probably one of the photos that made me long for model photography… At that time, I had just returned to shooting with an analog camera, and I was a bit obsessed with separating the subject from the background by using depth of field. Of course, in everyday life it rarely happens that a person appears perfectly as a subject in front of you and you have the time to photograph them
(Old camera analog is always a bit slower).
In this way, the hunger to photograph people emerged, and the search for #models began.
The AE-1 was the first camera that brought me back to shooting analog (and that is also quite a long time ago), but it never really became my favorite. Still, it was certainly a great way to get started again!

I’m turning my back on you myself.
The photo was taken with a Canon A1 and is many years old. It dates back to a time when I was away from home for several months at a time, and every time I came back for a few days, a strange atmosphere would arise. I felt a bit displaced.
The photo was taken with my Canon A1 and an MD 50mm 1.4 lens.
I was able to buy the A1 years ago for next to nothing, and it has always been both a travel companion and a camera I used for #model photography.
For color, I always used to shoot Fuji 400, so the photo was probably made with that type of film as well.

“The Gulf of Sitia”
Sitia is a picturesque town situated on the northeastern edge of Crete, built in an amphitheater shape beside the sea in the Gulf of Sitia.
One of the least “touristy” parts of Crete, Sitia as a town, was built up in Venetian times, destroyed and later rebuilt by the Turks, with just a few signs of this history remaining. The region, however, still provides numerous clues and monuments to the area's early history.

Auch ne interessante Erfahrung: ich würde gern an meiner #DSLR ein anamorphotisches Weitwinkel-Objektiv benutzen. dafür braucht es einen Adapter - zum Beispiel den #Fotodiox Pro Objektivhalterungsadapter - #Arri PL Halterung für #Canon EOS. Jetzt habe ich erfahren das dieser #Adapter in den #USA auf Zuruf gefertigt wird und der Hersteller das Lieferziel auf Ende Januar'26 (!) gesetzt hat. Hat irgendwer im Ruhrgebiet so was für einen Test in der Ecke liegen?
Love this little toadstool! The wet cap looks so incredibly glossy and if you look a little closer, you can see that it lost one of its little flakes, which sticks to the leaf on the bottom left now.
