Someone from my specific-region-based cactus group chat sent me a mystery box as part of a giveaway, imagine my surprise when I opened it up to see a massive Trichocereus Bridgesii Monstrose crest looking back at me. It looks like she’s been through a lot, but given the humidity in the region that tens to happen with Bridgesii.
The second cactus is a Stenocereus Hollianus, something I am completely unfamiliar with so it will be interesting to get it planted. I can’t wait to see what these look like rehydrated and with roots.
I have both of them soaking for now to get rid of any unwanted visitors, they’ll get sprayed down with spinosad afterwards and will hang out in the rooting chamber for a while. #cactus #naturephotography #trichocereus #collection # #gardening #stenocereus
