What do Bologna and Attack on Titan have in common? Three walls and tall people like me that go through them 😂! Instead of the Maria, Rosa and Sina we have The Circle/Ring of Selenite, The Circle/Ring of the Millennium and La Circla. Porta Nuova is part of the second circle - The Circle of the Millennium - named so as it is thought to have been built around the first millennium. There used to be 18 Porte (city gates) in this circle, but only 4 remain. They are called "torresotto" because they used to be under towers. Thankfully they are no longer locked so tall monsters like me can come into the centre for a snack ✨

La Torre degli Asinelli for #fotovorschlag "Dinge, die mit T beginnen" / "Things beginning with T"

Asinelli tower is one of the two tower sisters - the other is Garisenda (which is not visible but would be on the right of this photo). The tower is 97.20 meters high and there are 498 steps to the tippity-top. It was built between 1109 and 1119 by the Asinelli family. ✨

Terrace of Il Parco della Montagnola 🌨️

A bit of a throwback to la Montagnola when a storm was coming in. It's one of the oldest public parks in Bologna and has been open since the 17th century. It has lots of beautiful statues and some trees that date back to the Napoleonic era! The sweltering heat reminded me I had this photo! If somebody could please fly up to the sun and turn the damn thing down a few notches - I would be very grateful , please and thank you. ♥️ ✨

The Parramatta skyline, as viewed from a lookout across the river from Parramatta Quay. The sky is a very bright blue, and the sun is large and burning bright as it approaches the horizon in the late afternoon. At the bottom is the turning basin for the RiverCat ferry service. The river, in an almost teal emerald green, continues down the middle of this photo. Both the Elizabeth St pedestrian bridge and the Wilde Ave bridge are visible in the distance. The river continues westwards towards Parramatta Park. On the left bank are mostly green trees, with a grassy bank on the right. The top of the Novotel building and a nearby white apartment tower poke through the trees. If you zoom in closely, you can also see the Riverside Theatre. A number of tall buildings are visible on the left. The closest is the dark glass office tower that houses QBE insurance. Further back is the construction site for the new Powerhouse Museum, followed by a cluster of apartment towers.
For context, a little further left is Parramatta Quay, where our friend the RiverCat is dropping off passengers.

Closeup of a group of buildings on the north side of 42nd Street in Manhattan, across from Bryant Park. The image is predominantly teal and white. In the foreground at right is the Grace Building with its distinctive curved, upward-swooping facade and grid of long horizontal windows. Immediately next to it is the business center Two Bryant Park: we see its side-wall of plain vertical panels bordered by a multi-floor column of wide glass windows, which wrap around to the street-facing facade paneled entirely with reflective glass. In the background at left is the grid of windows of the Bank of America Tower, which rises out of frame. The reflections in the buildings’ many glass panels result in a multiplicity of windows, including those of other buildings across the street. Notably, the curved edge of the Grace Building and some of the other buildings’ vertical lines form an outline suggestive of a long narrow dagger, which descends to its point at bottom frame. A bit of blue sky can be glimpsed at the top.
