Rescuers noticed the bird had a ring on its leg, issued by British Trust for #Ornithology (BTO), charity focusing on study of #birds

They learned the puffin was 1st ringed on Isle of May in 1995, estimated to be three years old

It marks the beginning of #spring, and in Christianity, it is the feast day of Saint Brigid, #Ireland's patroness saint.
