This was my rad vegan birthday cake that was made with love from a local bakery. It was vanilla cake with a cherry frosting. It was absolutely delicious.
For anyone in the Portland metro area, you gotta check out the one and only Carina’s Bakery. It’s a Swedish bakery, run by a chef who survived brain cancer as a child. Everything is vegan and most things are GF. It’s all delicious.

1. Intermediate web application engineer - React/Typescript/Next.js/Python for APIs. 3+ years experience, B.Sc preferred, this role starts Feb 13.
2. Intermediate Data(base) Engineer position coming open for March 1st. This role is focused on financial and royalties data. Note this is not an AI/ML/Data Science position, however you may be building data infrastructure for consumption by a couple of data sci's (and honestly any experience in those roles is a bonus). If you have most of the following:
- 4+ years writing SQL
- Experience with pipelining data around the cloud(s) and general orchestration of data collection
- Some MySQL and/or Postgres experience
- Python
- B.Sc+ education

They just heavily gassed. Went thru my full face again. the medics were saying it was going through their masks too. There were very young children present. Before my trip to Vale, friends expressed concern about my safety while traveling. But they weren't worried I'd be pulled over by ICE, they worried I would be treated poorly by our neighbors.
Sorry but that's just false.
Now do all of them "get me"? No. They don't have to. Because they understand when someone smiles at them and shakes their hand, that's not an enemy.

Decent turnout tonight at the ICE facility in Portland, Oregon. A call to action was put out after border patrol executed Alex Jeffrey Pretti in Minneapolis earlier today.
Earlier some barricades were put up against the gate where the feds typically come out from, including dumpster that got rolled over. Another door was also barricaded.
Feds have tear-gassed a few times but a ton being deployed right now. Lots of loud booms and lotssss of gas.
in #Portland, we have the ReBuilding center. Basically, all reclaimed, donated, etc. building materials for home projects.
I try not to put my finger on the local scales too much but seeing the heinously racist comments made by some city councilors and officials is worth mentioning.
