Sagt der Löwe zur Gazelle:
Wir bilden eine Symbiose, gelle?

Fragt die Gazelle, nicht sehr helle,
mit sterbender Stimme, auf der Stelle:
Wie?

Der Löwe erläutert:
Du nährst mich, ich fress dich.

Die Gazelle winselt:
Ich versteh dich

This prompt from @Ourladyofpoetics really stuck with me. To write your own eulogy. My writing by far not where I want it to be when someone actually will be writing my eulogy. But it is where I‘m at now. With my writing, and with myself.

Tree trunk, stripped bare.
Crossbar, damp air.
Black clouds, crows caw,
perched on nails — gone.

A sign, four words.
No voice is heard.
Cramped cave, stone bed
where herbs lay — bled.

Long wait, dark night.
No candles burn bright.

But silence — burns.
