Aled and I have decided to make #MountainMonday an actual #mountain bagging day! Today took us on a 10 km hike around a mountain lake and up #ArenigFawr, the largest of the range. Sounds perfect, right? Welp... The weather turned about two thirds of the way up and the rain 🌧️ came and I was unprepared (a series of mistakes but my fault entirely). So I was very cold and wet and tired and cranky. 🀬 But it was beautiful, the girls loved it (TongueOutTuesday here we come), and we made it up and back out alive! Another adventure in the books. ✨

#MotoringMonday from our drive to the mountain today. As pretty as this road is, it's a nightmare in the summer months when loads of visitors are on the narrow roads without a clue how to navigate them.

There's a huge wild fire on Conwy mountain, people being evacuated from nearby due to smoke. NRW have closed Newborough due to fire risk (I guess all the firefighters are busy in Conwy). And now there's a wild fire in the woods behind Bethesda which doesn't look far from houses at all 😬 #NorthWales #GogleddCymru #WildFires

Apologies if you were behind me today when I spotted this magnificent oak tree. I did a tire-screeching pullover to the side of the road in order to scramble over a fence and wade through a soaking wet field mined with sheep shit and thorny thistles just to capture this in time for #ThickTrunkTuesday
