Es wird echt Zeit, sich nach Alternativen zu #macOS umzuschauen. Früher konnte man ja noch durch ein paar zusätzliche Klicks eigene Software zum Laufen bringen, die nicht den Segen von #Apple bekommen haben.
Inzwischen muss man sie mit
sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/Foobar.app/"
bearbeiten. Mit den nächsten Versionen geht das dann vielleicht auch nicht mehr?!

All get the same results - no bootable drive found on the windows machine.

On #macOS #Tahoe the Music app's status bar disappeared. This stumped me and Apple's support team, and got "escalated" to engineering. It turns out one has to scroll down from the top to see the bar - a fact I stumbled upon.
Unclear to me if someone thought this was good design or if this is a bug, but even their support staff don't get it. If I select tracks, needing to know their total time (I do this a lot when putting together radio shows), why do I need to scroll to get this info?

My 91-year-old father is still very interested in browsing the web, getting news updates, and doing basic computing tasks. But the #Apple #macOS updates continue to be increasingly hostile to people who don’t embrace unnecessary UI changes.

Logi Options is literally the worst part of using a Logitech mouse. Sometimes it just doesn’t load properly on boot (usually when it has upgraded itself) and then mouse tracking doesn’t work right until you manually launch it.
But you can’t use the mouse without it, because #macOS still has incredibly weird mouse tracking if you aren’t using an #Apple mouse.

There is an (old) discussion from 2022 which was replied to by an idiot saying "Apple says it does, so it must be true."¹ 
The fact that exactly the same Dovecot server works fine with TLS 1.3 enforced against iOS 26 w/ Mail but does not against macOS 26 Tahoe w/ Mail is pretty damning to me...
