Dear Fediverse, thank you for being a safe haven from AI slop.
This morning, I checked out Pinterest for the first time in forever and saw an image purporting to be a LEGO set that was obviously AI generated - yuck!
Then on Reddit's popular page there was a video compilation of people saving children from terrible falls = AI slop.
YouTube's homepage: a short video showing a child and her dog covered in mud = AI slop.
What was I thinking? I should visit #Lemmy and #PeerTube instead...

Hello #swarmintelligence of the #Fediverse, how do you solve the problem when you want to install new software on an already known domain?
So in my case from #Lemmy to xxx (I'm not sure yet what it will be, maybe #Friendica). Because if the instance keys no longer match, communication will be rejected.
Mastodon introduced the self-destruct command for this, but Lemmy doesn't have anything like that.

Diré que dejé de usar #Thunder después de que una actualización en su repositorio principal quedase incompatible. Fue el empujoncito que hacía falta para comenzar a usar #Interstellar y tras configurarlo un poco para tener una parte decente de las comodidades que disfrutaba en Thunder diré que difícilmente miraré atrás. Interstellar es más rápida, cómoda de navegar y dice ser compatible con #Lemmy, #Mbin y #Piefed. De igual modo aplaudo ambos proyectos.
I personally really like #Pixelfed and i think #Loops is a great idea and project. I'm also obviously happy about #Mastodon, also think #Lemmy is great.
#Peertube is great, so is #Funkwhale.
But ask most #GenZ folks about any of those and you're going to get a blank stare unless they are on Mastodon already.
There's nothing wrong with that, we all enjoy these things, but again, reality vs. expectations... something i can't help but consider.
It “only” took me a few years to find out that I don’t need to have a PeerTube or Lemmy account to interact with them; I just need to copy/paste the link in Mastodon search and then follow or reply.
Why no one is saying this little detail FIRST to all the n00bs coming from the Horror socials? After this you can explain the fediverse; Now Activity Pub makes so much sense to an atechnical person.

Problem ist einzig und allein, dass er mir unter Friendica nicht angezeigt wird. Gerade herausgefunden habe ich das die Beiträge der Gruppe/Community Verkehrswende offenbar auch nicht korrekt hier her federiert werden. Da gibt es also offenbar mehr Probleme als ich ursprünglich dachte.
Wie komme ich an den Kommentar, um darauf reagieren zu können?
Danke für Eure Tipps und Hilfe im Voraus. 😀

Pare che qualcuno abbia pensato che siamo anti-mastodon 😄 A parte l'assurdità ma basterebbe andare su diggita.com per vedere che il 90% dei contenuti arriva rilanciato da Mastodon e questo succede perchè #Mastodon e #Lemmy sono integrati: da Mastodon si può pubblicare sui gruppi Lemmy senza un altro account. Basta aggiungere un tag come: @fediverso
