Metallic 🤘🏻 for #insectsaturday

This is a Rosemary Beetle or a Chrysolina Americana. Even though it has America in their name they are are actually native in Southern Europe, North Africa and the Near and Middle East.
Here as well, it's not actually on Rosemary but on some Curry Plant or Helichrysum Italicum (smells like maple syrup) ✨

We had another #mantis visitor last week! This is the first brown one I've spotted. I saw my first one ever at my parents' place last year, and now they're everywhere here (an hour north of them). 😅 The survivor I posted two weeks ago came back for another photo session on the drive (put it in the wildflower plot afterwards), then I saw a crushed one on our street, and found one drowned in a pot of water I'd forgotten in the garden. 🙈
This one spent the whole day at eye level on a white wall by our drive, and I managed to take a few photos.

📰 Indigenous Beekeepers Safeguard Native Stingless Bees

🌎 Brazil: Guarani beekeeper Marcio Karai and his community are expanding efforts to care for native stingless bee species and pass traditional knowledge to younger generations.

🐝 Community members transfer wild nests into managed wooden hives and maintain meliponaries that support local pollinator populations.

🤝 Indigenous stewardship offers a locally led conservation model that protects pollinators while preserving cultural knowledge and ecological resilience.

"And for my Next Trick" 🤹🏻‍♀️ for #insectsaturday

This is a "Yellow Mud (Dauber) Wasp". Now, these little things are faaaast as fuck and don't tend to stay in any place for very long, so this was a lovely suprise! (Compared to minutes later when I missed my chance to take a good photo of a Violet Carpenter Bee and nearly had a meltdown. 😂 They're just so pretty!!) ✨
I believe that the plant that they are on is "A Rose of Sharon" or 'Hibiscus Syriacus" - I might have to go back and confirm that though! ✨
