Short on garden space? Grow potatoes in a barrel! 🥔
Use a deep container (~1.2m/4ft) with drainage holes. Layer stones for drainage, then add well-rotted compost with fertiliser. Top with a deep layer of potting compost and you're ready to plant your spuds!

Save your skins! 🍌 When planting out tomatoes, bury two banana skins in the bottom of the hole. They provide a fantastic, slow-release source of potash, crucial for developing flowers & fruit. This organic trick works for any potash-loving plant, like roses or peppers! 🍅

My #CherryLaurel on the terrace is turning yellow again, even though it's received several fertilizers 1), has enough water, and the warmer days are still ahead of us.

As in previous years, my big question is: more or less fertilizer?!?
Is there any way to tell?

1) I have been using alternatingly blue fertilizer and guano and add my green tea and coffee residue several times a week.
