Marigolds (Tagetes), Roger’s Gardens, Newport Beach, California [Prints and Decor Available]

welchwrite.com/agn/2025/12/08/…

Prints: DouglasEWelch.com/shop/833

There is something so incredibly cheerful about marigolds. I took this shot to capture that intense, almost glowing orange color they have when the sun hits them just right. The petals are so packed and ruffled, they look like little pom-poms of sunshine.

I love how the dark background makes the golden-orange tones really pop. It feels like a little slice of warm, late-summer afternoon that you can keep all year round. If you're into bright, happy garden vibes or just love the color orange, this one is for you.

I have always had only carnivorous plants, they're my favorite type (Nephentes ftw!). However, one month ago, I decided to visit the nursery and buy different species:

- A Cactus (super easy to take care of)

- A Pothos (great for cleaning the air)

- A Peperomia Caperata (super nice looking)

I wanted to challenge myself by taking care of a different kind of plant from what I'm used to. I love how each type of plant has its own different set of needs and requirements.

Harvested some more snow peas. The plants are slowly growing and producing just lying on the ground. I'm too lazy to build a trellis for just 4 plants. The premise of harvesting more frequently than 3 weeks time isn't motivating.

Last harvest of the year for me diningandcooking.com/2401028/l… #Gardening #Vegetable #VegetableGardening

'Gardening' still going, pots in my make-do green house still pumping out greens and carrots. Overwintering peppers still giving some peppers.

A dogwood fruit with a funky smell but a banana like taste/texture. Plus, some rock-hard seeds. Unsure if this is C. kousa or a relative. Grabbed some for seeds. #gardening #foraging #fruit

Rose from the garden, probably Munstead Wood. Nearly the end of Spring, roses are wonderful at the moment.
