Hoping it isn't going to be a site for yet another student block, multiple ones within the neighbourhood already, including one directly across from this site

These benches and this table have been painted almost like the wartime "dazzle" camouflage used on ships in WWI & WWII, presumably to confuse any U-boats lurking in the nearby Union Canal.
