Here we have a capture of the US Air Force Thunders Birds flying in tight formation. It blows my mind that these men pilot these extremely fast jets while flying just feet away from each other, in some cases it appears to be inches.

Dreaming of Florence Italy This image captures the heart of Florence, a city that has shaped the soul of the modern Western world. Florence began as a Roman settlement in the first century BCE and over the centuries grew into a center of trade, banking, art, architecture and learning. By the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries it had become the cradle of the Renaissance, a place where ideas about beauty, science, faith and human potential took root and transformed history. The most striking feature in the scene is the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, known around the world as the Duomo. Brunelleschi’s great dome still stands as one of the most important achievements in architectural history and it rises above the red tiled roofs like a crown over the city. Before I traveled to Florence I knew about el Duomo. I had seen images of the dome and read about its engineering miracle. Yet nothing prepared me for the moment I arrived here in person. As I stood before this skyline I realized I was standing in the birthplace of the Renaissance, the birthplace of the ideas and vision that shaped our modern culture. Large Banyan Trees create a beautiful arched canopy as they line up on each side of the rain slicked road of Almeria Ave located in Coral Gables, Miami.
This black and white photograph captures the beauty of the architectural detail of Coconut Grove's Plymouth Congregational church as vines cover and climb the bell tower and front portion. The church was modeled after the old Spanish missions of Mexico. It marked it's 100 anniversary in 2017. Amazingly the original sanctuary was built by one man, Felix Rebom, and his assistant using nothing more than a hatchet, a trowel, a plumb line and a T-square!
